Photo Chemical Etched Burr-free Ultra Sharp Stainless Steel 304 Blades for Shaving Razor
|
Photo chemical etching is one of the most advanced and reliable manufacturing methods for producing ultra-thin, ultra-sharp, and burr-free stainless steel razor blades. Unlike stamping or laser cutting, chemical etching removes metal through a controlled chemical reaction instead of mechanical force or heat. This ensures the blade surface remains perfectly flat, the edges remain extremely smooth, and the entire cutting profile stays free from deformation. For shaving razor blades—where edge quality directly affects user comfort—chemical etching offers unmatched precision, finer micro-features, cleaner edge transitions, and superior sharpness, making it the preferred manufacturing process for premium grooming products.

Photo Chemical Etched SS304 Shaving Razor Blades
These stainless steel 304 razor blades are manufactured using precision photo chemical etching, giving them an exceptionally clean cutting edge and consistent geometry. The etching process enables ultra-fine patterns, micro slots, and alignment holes while keeping the blade burr-free and stress-free—essential for smooth and comfortable shaving performance. With excellent corrosion resistance and dimensional accuracy, these blades are suitable for manual razors, electric shavers, and high-performance grooming devices.

What Is Photo Chemical Etching?
Photo chemical etching (also known as photochemical machining or PCM) is a high-precision subtractive manufacturing process that uses photolithography + chemical etching to remove material in a controlled way.
Photoresist Coating – A light-sensitive film is applied to the metal sheet.
UV Exposure – The blade pattern is transferred through a phototool onto the metal.
Development – Exposed areas are removed to reveal the metal to be etched.
Chemical Etching – Acid etchants dissolve the metal only in the unprotected areas.
Stripping & Cleaning – Remaining photoresist is removed, leaving clean etched blades.
This method allows for highly accurate, stress-free cutting features ideal for sharp, thin, and delicate razor components.
